As part of the ongoing efforts and distinguished relations between the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA) and its strategic partners, and in line with opening new horizons for the Egyptian business community to expand into global markets, we have received an invitation from the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Cairo to participate in an international tender issued by the Sri Lanka Railways Authority for the supply of 300,000 Elastic Rail Clips coated with bituminous materials.
This tender represents a valuable opportunity for Egyptian companies operating in the engineering and metal industries to enter the Sri Lankan market and strengthen their presence in international infrastructure projects, especially as it is offered through a competitive international tendering system ensuring fairness and transparency for all bidders.
Participation requirements stipulate that applicant companies must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, at least 5 years of experience in marketing similar products, in addition to holding ISO 9001:2008 certification in the relevant manufacturing field.
Objectives:
- Enhancing opportunities for Egyptian companies to access Asian and international markets through participation in global tenders.
- Supporting the expansion of companies operating in the engineering and metal industries and opening new export channels for their products.
- Strengthening the presence of Egyptian products in international infrastructure projects, particularly the railway sector.
- Encouraging international partnerships and fair competition that enhances the efficiency and quality of Egyptian industry.
- Highlighting Egyptian manufacturing capabilities in railway supply components in accordance with international standards (ISO).
- Supporting EABA’s direction toward connecting the Egyptian business community with global investment opportunities.
