As part of the ongoing efforts of the Egyptian African Businessmen Association to provide its members with trade and investment opportunities and strengthen cooperation with international entities and institutions, we have received an invitation to learn about two international tenders in Sri Lanka, covering opportunities in engineering consultancy and the construction sector, as well as information technology, cybersecurity, and e-passport solutions, as follows:
🔹 Tender for the Formulation of the National Building Code of Sri Lanka:
The tender concerns consultancy services for the formulation and development of the National Building Code of Sri Lanka (NBCSL), covering building design, construction, safety, sustainability, accessibility, and building services, along with the development of an implementation and compliance framework.
📅 Deadline for submission of Expressions of Interest (EOI): 21 October 2026.
🔹 National e-Passport System Tender:
The tender concerns the provision and implementation of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solution for e-passports, including ICAO-PKD integration and e-passport personalization services.
📅 Bid submission deadline: 2 November 2026.
