In continuation of the ongoing efforts and activities, as well as the distinguished relationships that connect the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA) with its strategic partners, some external organizations have shown interest in collaborating with the association and its members. We have received an invitation from the African Development Bank to attend the Virtual Conference on the Launch of the 2024 Southern Africa Regional Economic Outlook Report.
This year’s theme: “Leading the Transformation in South Africa: Reforming the Global Financial Architecture.”
The report analyzes the economic growth of South Africa, its drivers, and the implications for social and economic development, including poverty, employment, and inequality, while considering the effects of multiple local, regional, and global shocks, as well as emerging vulnerabilities. The report also examines key indicators of macroeconomic performance in South African countries, their drivers, and the outlook for the near to medium term. Additionally, the report reviews the progress of structural transformation in South Africa and provides an in-depth assessment of the available options for financing structural transformation in the region, alongside the need for reforming the global financial architecture.
