Businessmen’s Association (EABA) maintains with its strategic partners, and with a keen interest in strengthening cooperation with external entities and opening new horizons for the Egyptian business community to expand into African markets, we have received an invitation from the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Cairo to hold a meeting to discuss ways to enhance trade and investment cooperation between Egypt and Sri Lanka, and to explore new opportunities available for Egyptian companies in the Sri Lankan market.
They are also pleased to inform you about Sri Lanka Expo 2026, scheduled to take place from 18 to 21 June 2026 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo. The event is organized by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) and is considered the largest national trade exhibition and investment forum in Sri Lanka in the past 14 years, featuring more than 750 exhibitors from diverse sectors including:
- Apparel and textiles
- Rubber products
- Gemstones and jewelry
- Boat and ship building
- Electrical and electronic products
- Handicrafts
- Ceramics
- Pharmaceuticals
- Tea and spices
- Processed food and beverages
- Information and communication technology
- Maritime services
- Logistics services
The event aims to showcase the diversity and potential of Sri Lanka’s economy and trade. Additional brochures and information are attached.
Objectives:
- Enhance trade and investment cooperation between Egypt and Sri Lanka – opening new channels for bilateral partnerships.
- Explore opportunities available for Egyptian companies in the Sri Lankan market, particularly in diverse sectors such as apparel, rubber, food, IT, and logistics.
- Introduce Sri Lanka Expo 2026 – the largest national trade exhibition and investment forum in Sri Lanka in 14 years.
- Facilitate direct meetings with Sri Lankan partners and officials to discuss cooperation opportunities and trade representation.
- Highlight the diversity and potential of the Sri Lankan economy to build confidence in investment and business expansion opportunities.
