The forum comes at a time when there is an increasing need in the world for sustainable investment, which helps support foreign direct investment flows and thus achieve an economic boom that achieves long-term social and environmental benefits.
ElSharkawi stressed that the meeting is taking place against the background of the increase in foreign direct investment globally. Where foreign direct investments in the world increased by 77% in the year 2021; To reach $1.65 trillion from $929 billion in 2020, The 2021 level was higher than the pre-pandemic period.

ElSharkawi stated that Egypt’s position has become strong and attractive to regional and global investments. Thanks to the bold economic reforms program implemented by the state, which raised Egypt’s classification according to the certificates of foreign bodies, especially the International Monetary Fund, This is also supported by the legislative reforms that took place during the last period. Egypt’s presidency of the African Union this year is also an additional attractive factor that all parties should work on marketing for the well-being that it can achieve for the continent and its peoples.
