In continuation of the ongoing efforts and distinguished relations that link the Association with its strategic partners, and in order to enhance cooperation with external parties and open new horizons for the Egyptian business community, we have received an invitation from the COMESA Business Council to participate in the working group meeting for the pharmaceutical industry, health care services and medical supplies sector, which is held under the title: “Green Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in COMESA: From concept to application”, within the framework of efforts to promote industrial integration among COMESA countries and support the development of the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, with a focus on adopting sustainable practices and moving towards green manufacturing, which contributes to raising production efficiency and achieving a balance between industrial growth and environmental preservation, in addition to providing an opportunity to exchange expertise, review practical experiences and discuss ways of joint cooperation between concerned companies and institutions at the regional level, which would open new horizons for investment and strengthen strategic partnerships, and therefore we invite interested members to

– Promote a common understanding of the concept of green pharmaceutical manufacturing and its importance in COMESA countries
– Review practical experiences of companies in implementing green manufacturing practices
– Discuss challenges and supporting factors for the development of this field, including technical, policy and investment aspects
– Explore opportunities for cooperation between the private sector, policymakers and regional institutions
