This webinar focuses on the integrated digital platform for promoting trade and investment between African countries and will be presented by Mr. Kenneth Togbo, Senior Analyst at the African Export–Import Bank (Afreximbank), with participation from Dr. Yousrey El Sharkawi, Chairman of the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA), in addition to Dr. Yousrey El Sharkawy for enhanced networking and knowledge sharing.
The platform aims to connect African companies with international partners through a digital environment that brings together business information, investment opportunities, and company-to-company networking services. It functions as a digital trade gateway supporting the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by facilitating access to African markets and enabling information exchange between the public and private sectors.
The main functions of the platform include facilitating B2B trade by connecting companies, exporters, and importers across various African countries and providing opportunities for commercial and investment partnerships; providing market information by offering data on different economic sectors and presenting investment opportunities and projects available across African countries; supporting exporters and small and medium-sized enterprises by helping them explore new markets and facilitating connections with potential partners on the continent; organizing virtual events and business networking through webinars and digital meetings between institutions and companies, as well as introductory sessions on markets and investment opportunities; and providing digital tools for international trade, such as publishing trade leads and showcasing products and services of companies registered on the platform.
