A delegation from the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association discussed with Ambassador Dattakran Guberdihon, Ambassador of Mauritius, ways to enhance cooperation between the business and financial community in the two countries.
The delegation included Dr. Yousry Al-Sharqawi, president of the association, and the membership of the two vice-chairmen of the International Trade and Foreign Relations Committees – and the Committee on Governmental Relations and Communication Affairs.
The Ambassador of Mauritius confirmed that he has been a good follower of the association’s activities for more than a year and a half, and that the performance was very convincing, which reinforced the keenness to offer a helping hand and cooperate with the association in various fields.
Dr. YousreyElSharkawi, chairman of the association, explained that the association has set goals and a methodology centered around reaching an African financial and business community that achieves the vision of the new real private sector in accordance with the mechanisms and requirements of the new phase and regional, African and global challenges.
He indicated the association’s keenness, We have to be a real repository of ideas supporting the development plans of the leaders of the African continent, We are serious in communicating to deepen the message of confidence in ourselves so that we can make up for what we have left with regard to the proper exploitation of the continent’s resources, industrially and commercially, in an effective, safe, good and accurate manner.
In the meeting, the two sides reviewed the foundations of joint cooperation in preparation for the launch of an expanded electronic day to present success stories and distinguished works of some models of the business community in Mauritius, which are marketed and broadcast through all channels for the benefit of all the people of the continent.
The two sides also discussed how to cooperate in the field of sugar production from sugar cane and utilizing this in joint international investments. As well as the issue of the possibility of entry of construction and building companies from members of the association in international secured and documented tenders with the government of Mauritius.
The two parties discussed how to formulate a vision and plan between the Tourism Committee of the Association and the tourism sector in the Government of Mauritius, as it is one of the important future interfaces in the tourism of the continent.
