The World Bank launches a major tender in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

An Exceptional Opportunity for Egyptian Companies to Strengthen Their Footprint in Africa’s Digital Transformation

 

Continuing the ongoing efforts and distinguished relationships that link the Egyptian-African Business Association (EABA) with its strategic partners, and keen to enhance collaboration with external entities, we have received an invitation from the World Bank to participate in a significant opportunity through a major tender in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, valued at $400 million.

The project involves the supply of 17,000 tablets and the establishment of over 100 smart centers for development and digital services. This opportunity represents a promising platform for our national companies to participate in a strategic project that contributes to supporting digital transformation and technological infrastructure across Africa.

It also reflects the growing confidence in the capabilities and expertise of Egyptian companies. Therefore, we invite companies, particularly those operating in technology, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, supply, training, and related contracting sectors, to engage promptly in reviewing the tender requirements and seizing this opportunity.

Please note that the deadline for submitting bids is February 5, 2026. Participation in such projects not only strengthens the position of the Egyptian private sector in Africa but also contributes to building sustainable and impactful development partnerships.
