As part of its ongoing efforts and the distinguished relationships that the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association maintains with its strategic partners, the Association organized, in collaboration with the Trade Remedies Sector of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, a successful and unique workshop titled “Trade Remedies .” This event was aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial and industrial sectors in Egypt.
The workshop was marked by the participation of prominent experts and entrepreneurs, and it addressed the topic of trade procedures from various angles, focusing on how to translate these procedures into practical flows that contribute to enhancing commercial and industrial performance. The event aimed to highlight the culture of trade procedures and provide valuable insights to help companies navigate current economic challenges.
The webinar featured presentations from Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, Chairman of EABA, who shared his perspective on the importance of trade procedures in improving economic performance; Mr. Sayed Abo Al-Qumsan, Former Advisor to the
Minister of Trade & Industry, who discussed his experiences and best practices in this field; and Ms. Yomna El-Shabrawy, Head of Trade Remedies Sector at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, who provided a detailed presentation on how to convert trade procedures into effective and impactful operations.
Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi emphasized that the workshop was a significant opportunity to highlight the importance of trade procedures in improving company performance and enhancing their competitiveness in the market. He explained that the Association’s goal through this event was to offer strategic insights that help companies achieve efficiency and effectiveness, contributing to sustainable economic growth.
Dr. El-Sharkawi added, “Trade Remedies are a fundamental element in enhancing the commercial performance of companies. Through this workshop, we aimed to exchange knowledge and experiences on how to apply best practices in this field, enabling companies to benefit from new techniques and methods to improve their performance.”
Ms. Yomna El-Shabrawy presented an intensive and detailed overview of trade procedures, highlighting preventive measures and laws related to international trade. She emphasized that the high-level technical and professional team from the sector has extensive experience in serving the private sector, offering comprehensive support in all aspects of international trade procedures. Her presentation focused on providing comprehensive insights into dealing with trade challenges, reflecting the team’s commitment to enhancing performance efficiency in the private sector and achieving the best possible results.
The workshop included many constructive discussions covering various objectives, highlighting the importance of clarifying the culture of trade procedures and how to convert them into effective operations that contribute to improving commercial performance. The focus was also on encouraging the Egyptian industry to expand and grow, enhancing its ability to face increasing economic challenges. Additionally, best practices for improving commercial performance were discussed, along with practical tips for achieving goals. The workshop also provided an opportunity to expand professional networks among participants, facilitating valuable connections and building professional relationships.
At the end of the workshop, the importance of following up on the discussed recommendations was emphasized to ensure the achievement of the desired objectives and to enhance commercial performance efficiency.
