“Starting Point – The New Republic 2030” Conference

The Egyptian-African Businessmen’s Association headed by Dr Yousrey Elsharkawi organized In cooperation with its members from the private sector, An international conference discussing the role of the private sector in promoting trade, industry and investment, and promoting the economy. It comes under the title “Starting Point – The New Republic 2030”.

The conference started today in Sharm El Sheikh. Under the patronage of Dr. Nevin Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, The conference will last for two days.

Dr. Yousrey ElSharkawi said, That the conference enjoys international participation, with representatives and speakers from 7 Arab and European countries, Noting that this comes within the framework of the association’s activities plan and cooperation between its members and strategic partners who wish to expand and increase their activities in Egypt and in the depths of the African continent.

Elsharkawi stressed that the conference is one of the largest conferences sponsored by the association. It is organized in cooperation with one of the largest investment groups operating in the sectors, different fields, And with it many strategic industrial, commercial and service partners, In addition to many contracting companies, Which is working on a number of infrastructure, tourism and water technology solutions projects.

Dr. Yousrey ElSharkawi indicated that the association aims from the conference to come up with a number of contracts and memoranda of understanding, Pointing out that the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association is always striving to; To support its members and publish and expand their business, Considering that this is the important role to enhance the participation of the private sector in the role of the state in economic reform.

Ahmed Abdelaziz, Secretary-General of the Conference, confirmed, That the conference will witness the signing of a number of protocols and contracts, Abdel Aziz announced that it is expected to sign alliance contracts with 8 companies in several fields that will work in the scale of projects with AMH Group, current and future.

The project volume is expected to reach EGP 2 billion. Which will contribute to opening up large work fields for the Egyptian youth and will also contribute to raising the number of current employees in the group and its subsidiaries, Indicating the number of job opportunities that will result from the group’s activity in the next five years, Where several job opportunities will be provided to all executive sectors in all fields, and it is expected that no less than 2,500 jobs will be created according to a systematic plan.

He stressed that this will lead to an increase in the volume of foreign investment expected to be attracted as a target during the next five years. He explained that according to the target, it is expected that the amount of foreign investment expected to attract it will reach $2 billion.
