Mr. Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah, First Undersecretary of the Ministry and Head of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Authority, received a delegation from the Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi Chairman of EABA and the membership of Eng. Mahmoud Hegazy, Member of the Board of Directors, Eng. Ahmed Samir Al-Adl, Member of the Board of Directors, Eng. Mustafa Al-Amir, Secretary-General and Member of the Board of Directors, Major General Dr. Mohamed Mandour, Head of the Government Relations and Institutional Communications Committee, and Mr. Essam Al-Shazly, Vice Head of the Transport and Logistics Committee. The meeting was also attended by the honorable Ministers Plenipotentiary of the Commercial Representation, Minister Plenipotentiary Fadel Yaqoub, Director of the Africa Department at the Commercial Representation Authority, Mr. Khaled Milad, Mr. Sherif Erfan, and Ms. Nisreen Fathy. The two sides reviewed in an expanded meeting the fruitful and joint activities that took place in previous years and the tangible and tangible results we have achieved. The two sides also reviewed the vision and plans for joint work in the next stage. The two parties stressed the importance of concerted efforts, cooperation, overcoming difficulties, and intensive joint coordination in a way that serves the Egyptian economic file in the African depth in line with the vision and directions of the Egyptian state under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi And the support of the Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister
The meeting concluded with the signing of a joint cooperation protocol as a coordination framework for activities and events, their objectives, programs, reviews, and orientation, and a review of a number of initiatives that will be worked on in joint coordination in the future
Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, Chairman of EABA, stressed the importance of the role of commercial representation as one of the most important strategic partners in contributing to African work and the importance of the state’s support for this vital and important body that represents a real positive bridge in supporting Egyptian exports. El-Sharkawi pointed out that we are keen to extend a hand of cooperation and that we have seriously witnessed the efforts of the trade representation with us in African work and within African capitals, and that this confirms that we are facing a national version that has more giving and deserves full support from all state agencies. Mr. Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah, Head of the Trade Representation Authority, praised the role of the association and what it has achieved in the last four years, and that the name of the association has become a source of confidence for the African side in terms of economic diplomacy and the level of the private sector between Egypt and the continent. Al-Wathiq Billah expressed his confidence that cooperation in the next stage will achieve a large part of the goals and will have a major contribution to penetrating African markets, identifying market needs, and integrating Egyptian-African trade in a way that contributes to achieving the state’s target of exports as well as imports from the countries of the continent.
