Côte d’Ivoire Opens Its Doors to Products and Partnership with the Egyptian Business Community

The delegation of the Egyptian African Businessmen Association, headed by Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, continued its work trip to the West African region, and the second stop was “Côte d’Ivoire.” Over the course of 4 continuous days in Abidjan, many meetings were held with some financial and business entities, organizations, unions, and businessmen in various sectors and specializations, which were coordinated in cooperation. Between the association and Ambassador Sherif Seif, the Egyptian ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, Consul Sherif Taher, Consul of Egypt to Côte d’Ivoire. “And the association’s representation office in the capital, Abidjan.”

El-Sharkawi confirmed that his meeting with Mr. Omar Konan, Vice Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Abidjan, fully achieved its goals, and an understanding and discussion took place about the possibility of partnership and preparations to receive a delegation and a major trade mission that the association will organize for the West African region during this year, as well as the work of a mini-African regional exhibition in Abidjan similar to this. The visit will invite a large number of private sector companies in West Africa with the support and coordination of the association’s offices in West African countries. An agreement has also been reached to discuss the provision of medical tourism services to members and subscribers of the chamber wishing to receive treatment in Egypt, through the organization and follow-up of the association’s public health committee. Coordination has also been made to organize a paid medical therapeutic convoy with various Egyptian specialties, and the Egyptian embassy will work to put in place all the facilities for the success of this, as these are the fastest ways to develop the Egyptian medical tourism file in Africa, and there is an urgent need for this in West Africa.

Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi also held an expanded meeting with Mrs. Julie Nadrel, Head of the International Cooperation Sector of the General Federation of Entrepreneurs in Côte d’Ivoire, which includes 28 sub-unions and specialized federations for entrepreneurs in various sectors and has 3,500 members, and the annual return on members’ investments amounts to 27.7 billion euros annually., and discussed With it, an agreement on a cooperation protocol is being prepared, through which it will be concluded. “Receiving a trade mission from buyers from Côte d’Ivoire to Cairo, as well as unifying efforts for the success of the FATA platform from Africa to Africa…which the association will launch during this year.”

Many meetings were also held between men and business owners in Côte d’Ivoire of Lebanese origin, as well as businessmen of Côte d’Ivoire origin. The meetings resulted in expanding the activity of two Egyptian companies that are members of the association already working in Côte d’Ivoire, including the “Score for Industry, Trade and Investment” group, and concluding contracts on products. Approximately $2 million for the two companies in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. Preparations have also been made with the Ministry of Health and some universities for the entry of the products of the Integrated Scientific Group, one of the members of the association and one of the distinguished and international companies in the field of laboratory furniture and equipment for laboratories and laboratories.

As the trip coincided with the atmosphere of the 2024 African Nations Championship, which is being hosted by the capital, Abidjan, the President of the Association, Dr. El-Sharkawi, and the accompanying delegation were keen to achieve the objectives of the Association’s Sports Investment Committee. In doing so, a number of meetings were held with the heads of some federations accompanying their delegations, as well as media delegations, with the aim of promoting and concluding contracts for artificial turf products. And the needs of sports stadiums, as well as sports clothing and a number of Egyptian products that are at the heart of the sports industry, opening up export horizons in the growing sports investment sector in Africa.

El-Sharkawi expressed that the visit achieved its objectives fully, and that Abidjan offers many solutions for Egyptian exporters to double exports and is considered an open environment for investment, as there are no restrictions on the entry and exit of funds, stable currency, multiple sources of income, diversity of investments, and the need for various agricultural manufacturing projects – agricultural equipment and machinery – and hospitals. And therapeutic centers – and various cat clothes – and building materials – and electrical appliances – and agricultural consulting services in the agricultural crop sectors – and Côte d’Ivoire has what qualifies it to receive investors in tourist facilities because it is one of the most important sectors with high investment returns. There are many very promising and very high-income opportunities to launch car service and maintenance centers for Egyptian technicians who wish to do so.
