EABA & Embassy of Zambia are organizing a special tourism event with the participation of 100 Zambian and Egyptian companies

In continuation of the efforts and activities underway and the distinguished relations that bind the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA) with its strategic partners, where some external entities are keen to cooperate with the Association and its members, and in a significant step toward tourism cooperation between Egypt and Zambia, the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association, in cooperation with the Embassy of Zambia in Egypt, organized a prominent event titled “Zambia: A Single Destination with Endless Exploration.” This event aims to enhance tourism links between Egypt and Zambia and explore investment opportunities in the Zambian tourism sector.

The event witnessed the presence of several prominent figures from both the Egyptian and Zambian sides, led by Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, EABA Chairman, and Mr. Topply Lubaya, Ambassador of Zambia to Egypt. The event was also attended by the ambassadors of Cameroon, Rwanda, and Mauritius, along with a Zambian delegation comprising over 50 leading companies in the tourism sector, reflecting Zambia’s interest in enhancing tourism cooperation and exchanging experiences with Egyptian companies. More than 50 Egyptian companies operating in the tourism sector also participated, indicating their interest in benefiting from the promising opportunities presented by the Zambian market.

Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi stated, “The ongoing cooperation between the Association and the Embassy of Zambia in Egypt is a strategic step to enhance economic and tourism relations between the two countries, which the Association seeks to achieve through its African partnerships. We are committed to supporting these relations and providing real opportunities for the Egyptian business sector to connect with African partners, thereby promoting sustainable development in all fields. Recently, we have organized a number of joint events, the latest of which was a virtual conference that saw significant attendance from both sides, during which we announced the current event ‘Zambia: A Single Destination with Endless Exploration,’ representing an important opportunity.”

He added, “The presence of a Zambian delegation comprising over 50 tourism companies reflects Zambia’s interest in enhancing cooperation with Egypt, and we at the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association seek to continue this cooperation by organizing more events that support strategic partnerships, opening new horizons for Egyptian and Zambian companies. We look forward to these meetings resulting in tangible projects that contribute to advancing tourism and economic development, strengthening ties between the private sectors of both countries in the future.”

Mr. Topply Lubaya, the Zambian Ambassador to Egypt, expressed his happiness at collaborating with the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association in this event, which reflects the depth of the bilateral relations between the two nations. He stated, “Through these joint events, we aim to enhance tourism and investment partnerships that benefit both countries. We hope this event will provide an opportunity for Egyptian companies to learn about the tourism and investment opportunities that Zambia offers.”

Lubaya added, “Our large delegation today demonstrates our commitment to opening new horizons for cooperation between the private sectors of Egypt and Zambia. We believe this event is just the first step in a series of events aimed at enhancing economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries and facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge between Zambian and Egyptian companies. We look forward to these efforts contributing to building long-term partnerships that support sustainable development in both Zambia and Egypt.”

The first day’s activities included panel discussions addressing the available opportunities in the Zambian tourism sector, where Zambian companies presented presentations covering prominent tourist sites, investment opportunities in the hospitality sector, and new tourism projects that Zambia aims to attract foreign investments for. The Zambian delegation also reviewed potential joint tourism projects between the two countries, focusing on transferring Egyptian expertise in developing tourism infrastructure to Zambia.

The event will continue its second day tomorrow by holding bilateral meetings between Egyptian and Zambian companies, aiming to enhance direct cooperation and explore potential partnership avenues. These meetings provide an opportunity for Egyptian companies to closely study the Zambian market, understand the challenges and opportunities that the tourism sector offers there, and exchange ideas on joint projects that can be implemented for mutual benefits.

This event reflects the fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association and the Embassy of Zambia, as well as the Association’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with various African countries for the benefit of its members and partners. Strengthening tourism links between Egypt and Zambia is an important step toward achieving the Association’s vision of driving economic development and enhancing cultural communication between the two countries.
