The economic and trade ties between Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire manifest in a cooperation relationship that reflects development and prosperity. In their continuous endeavor to enhance these relations, the “Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association” has introduced a new initiative aimed at fostering communication and deepening partnerships between businesses and commercial communities in both countries.
Egyptian -Ivorian Think Tank (E.I.T.T)
This new model, emerging as one of the outputs and derivatives of the association, is part of an advanced initiative bringing together members of the association from within Egypt engaging in various activities, and Ivorian businessmen interested in Egypt. This model represents a new step towards elevating communication and exchange to a deeper and more effective level, providing members of the economic and commercial community with an innovative means of communication around the clock.
This initiative embodies the association’s commitment to enhancing communication and building bridges between businesses and commercial communities in Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire.
Initiative Objective:
- Bringing together members from both countries’ business communities who share common interests, aiming to enhance communication and deepen partnerships among them.
- Hosting monthly online meetings on a specific platform according to a predefined agenda, starting with an introduction and networking session, facilitating seamless communication.
- Discussing trade and investment policies, and specific topics, and preparing working papers for official diplomatic channels in both countries, to enhance cooperation and provide recommendations to decision-makers.
- Researching and exchanging various trade and investment opportunities between the two countries, as well as with the African community within the continent, and strengthening strategic partnerships with partners outside the continent.
- Exchanging events such as bilateral visits, joint conferences, and exhibitions in both countries, aim to enhance communication and build new relationships between businesses and commercial communities in both nations.
- Enhancing communication and exchanging knowledge and expertise in specific areas of economics and trade among members.
- Strengthening cultural and social cooperation between the two countries through the exchange of cultures and traditions and organizing joint cultural and social events, aiming to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen human connections between members and communities in both nations.
Mechanisms and implementation:
- A registration form is filled out by members interested in participating in the initiative.
- The board of directors reviews the submitted forms and makes appropriate decisions regarding the acceptance of members.
- Establishing a WhatsApp Group titled (EITT): comprising members of the initiative to discuss schedules, meeting organization, and execution of various activities take place within this group.
- An executive employee is allocated at the association’s headquarters in Cairo, with a counterpart assigned from Cote d’Ivoire, to oversee the initiative’s activities, schedules, and efficient execution of events.
- A carefully planned media campaign is executed to promote this initiative through various media channels and social networks.
