EABA participate in the Egypt Forum for International Cooperation

The Egyptian-African Businessmen Association headed by Dr Yousrey Elsharkawi participate This morning, in the activities of the international conference organized by the Ministry of International Cooperation, Under the leadership of the active Minister, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

Ministers and ambassadors participated in the forum. and chairmen of the boards of directors of African and European banks, and credit agencies, the international donor, heads of organizations and associations, As well as the most prominent private sector investors from most African, Arab and European countries.

The Prime Minister stated that the forum is being held under exceptional circumstances facing development efforts in the world. It came as a result of the continuing crisis of the Corona virus. This prompted the international community to direct its efforts towards overcoming its negative repercussions.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat confirmed, The Minister of International Cooperation, in her speech before the forum, The Corona pandemic forced the world to make exceptional efforts to achieve sustainable development and confront climate changes so that the world would emerge stronger and more determined, To enable the international community to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

The minister said that the world did not realize with the beginning of the Corona pandemic the true dimensions of this epidemic. Elsharkawi stressed that the Egypt Forum for International Cooperation, It really takes place under exceptional circumstances, To bring together all relevant parties, From international institutions, governments, civil society and the private sector, In order to set standards and ways to adapt, With these variables and facing them with flexible plans capable of absorbing shocks.

He revealed that the forum witnessed the launch of a number of qualitative initiatives; To push for multilateral cooperation and exchange of expertise and experiences in a number of development fields, in the government’s belief in the importance of exchanging expertise and knowledge.
