ElSharkawi confirmed, That this visit came at the invitation of the Nigerian Embassy and the request of His Excellency the Nigerian Ambassador, who confirmed in the meeting that what the association presented in 2021 made me and the Nigerian community in Egypt, And some groups of the business community in Nigeria are very keen that one of our first meetings in Egypt is the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association and its president.
The two teams reviewed the foundations, objectives and mechanisms of cooperation between the private sector employees and the financial and business community in the two countries. They revealed the intent to prepare a modern, systematic action plan through the activities of the financial and business community in the two countries, which aims to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, activate the entry of Egyptian products to all Nigerian groups, and maximize joint investments.
Elsharkawi stressed that Nigeria is one of the most important countries with which there must be fruitful and real cooperation. Noting that Nigeria and Egypt have nearly one-third of the population of Africa, The GDP of the two countries is more than 30% of the GDP of the countries of the continent. Certainly, there are large and diversified markets between the two countries. and a region in Central West Africa, which is the distinct Nigerian Neighborhood Region, Pointing out that all these indicators should be taken into account, To support, enter and encourage the private sector.
Elsharkawi stressed the need to support the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association by entering the depths of the African continent. He urged Egyptian businessmen to unite and unite in this entity so that we can address the African business community in most African countries in an organized, coordinated and well-formed manner.
