The Governor of Gharbia and Chairmanof the EABA discuss ways to develop economic relations between Egypt and Africa

In continuation of the ongoing efforts, activities and distinguished relations between the Egyptian African Businessmen Association and its strategic partners, in which some external parties are keen to cooperate with the Association and its members, an expanded meeting was held yesterday between His Excellency the Minister, Mr. Dr. Tarek Rahmy, Governor of Gharbia, and Mr. Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi. During this meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association, it was agreed to implement a series of activities aimed at enhancing the exports of Gharbia Governorate factories, under the title “From the heart of the Delta to all of Africa… Made in Gharbia.”

This new step reflects the association’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and economic development in the region, in cooperation with its strategic partners and with the contribution of external parties interested in supporting export projects. This initiative aims to strengthen the local industry, enhance the economic presence of Gharbia Governorate in the African market and beyond, and strengthen its position as a center of production and industry.

In this context, Dr. Yousrey El-Sharqawi, Chairman of the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association, stressed the importance of developing the export sector for the factories of Gharbia Governorate, saying: “We all realize the importance of exporting as a means to strengthen the Egyptian economy and strengthen its position in international markets. Therefore, there is a strong commitment to supporting the factories of Gharbia Governorate to achieve successes.” New in the field of export.

Dr. Yousrey commented on the initiative “From the heart of the Delta to all of Africa… Made in Gharbia,” noting its importance in directing the local industry towards African markets. He said: “This initiative comes at a very appropriate time in conjunction with the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), as Egyptian companies can exploit this opportunity to expand their presence in the African market and increase their exports. We are particularly looking forward to the field visits scheduled on the sidelines of this exhibition, where they will Focus on discussing the possibilities of trade exchange and cooperation between Gharbia Governorate factories and African delegations.

With these sustainable steps and efforts, this initiative appears as an ideal opportunity to enhance economic cooperation between Egypt and the countries of the African continent and enhance the position of Gharbia Governorate as a center for industry and export in the region.

For his part, Dr. Tariq Rahmy, Governor of Gharbia, stressed the importance of this strategic cooperation between his governorate and the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association. Saying: “We consider this initiative a decisive step towards strengthening the local economy in our governorate and enhancing local industries. We are committed to providing all the necessary support and facilities to ensure the success of this initiative and achieve its goals.”

Dr. Tariq added: “We are particularly looking forward to hosting African delegations on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), as this will be a real opportunity to enhance trade cooperation and increase exchange between the factories of our governorate and our African partners.”

With the strong support and commitment of Dr. Tarek Rahmy, this partnership between Gharbia Governorate and the Egyptian African Businessmen Association reflects joint efforts in promoting economic growth and developing local exports.

It is worth noting that it was also agreed on joint coordination between the Egyptian African Businessmen Association (EABA) and Gharbia Governorate to organize a visit for delegations of African businessmen present in Egypt on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF). This visit will include holding a meeting in the Gharbia Governorate building on Tuesday, November 14, with the aim of discussing the possibilities of trade exchange between the governorate’s factories and African delegations in areas such as leather, wood, textiles, and others.

The program also includes a visit to the industries exhibition in the city of Tanta, to view the products of factories in Gharbia Governorate. The visit will also include factories specialized in the production of threads, fabric and cotton furnishings in the public and private sectors.
It is also planned that a number of African ambassadors and government officials will attend to convey the results of the visit to their countries.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian African Businessmen Association is planning to hold a series of field visits to the main governorates that contribute to supporting the national industry, with the aim of contributing to the development of exports.
