We have received this kind invitation to all our members of the COMESA Business Council in cooperation with EU Africa RISE is pleased to invite you to the Virtual Verification Workshop to be held on 9 June 2022 of 1430 hours CAT / 1530 hours EAT / 1630 hours MUT to discuss the report on the development of an anti-trade framework illegal COMESA region. The study is supported by the EU Africa RISE through technical assistance.
The aim of the study is to assess the current environment in illicit trade; to develop a policy framework in COMESA on illicit trade; to develop appropriate institutional arrangement to support the policy framework and to develop implementation plan for the policy framework.
The study covers four sectors within COMESA Member States namely food and beverages, seeds, electronic and electrical goods and tobacco products.
The consultant conducted the study in COMESA region and they are ready to share the findings with you on the development of Anti-illicit trade framework for COMESA region.
