Yesterday, a webinar titled “Benin&Egypt Business Day” was held, in close collaboration between the Egyptian African Businessmen Association, the Egyptian Embassy in the Republic of Benin, and the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEx). It achieved tangible success.
The event witnessed a distinguished attendance by Her Excellency Ambassador Ragaa Elwakeel. He emphasized the EBRD’s commitment to supporting economic development in Benin, highlighting the crucial role of the private sector in achieving this goal.
He smoothly presented an overview of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s investments in Benin. Mr. Bain focused on the sectors funded by the bank, and he also mentioned the new programs that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will soon launch to support the private sector in Benin.
These programs include dedicated financing lines for companies and projects in Benin. Mr. Bain also expressed his confidence that these new programs will contribute to attracting more investments to Benin. creating new job opportunities, And enhance comprehensive economic growth in the country.

4. Encouraging government support to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries: The importance of the government’s role in supporting economic cooperation between Egypt and Benin was highlighted, and providing necessary support to investors and businessmen from both countries.
It’s worth mentioning that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Egyptian African Businessmen Association and the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEx) to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the fields of investment and trade.
