The first annual meeting and conference of the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association kicked off yesterday in Cairo under the slogan (The New Republic, Yes Africa Can). Professor of Civil Law and Chairman of the Education, Scientific Research and Training Committee of the Association, Dr. Islam Abul-Majd, Assistant Minister of Higher Education for African Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Qadah, Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for African Organizations and Groupings, and Dr. Adel Bilal, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport for Education Affairs as Vice President of the Academy Commercial consuls, economic advisors, administrative attachés, members of African missions and communities in the Arab Republic of Egypt also participated in the attendance.

Dr. Yousrey Elsharkawi, chairman of the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association, gave all thanks and gratitude to the guests of the Arab Republic of Egypt from the ambassadors of African countries, who participated in the event. different in line with the vision of the new republic, stressing that the number of Egypt’s population has exceeded 105 million and is constantly increasing, explaining the importance of modernizing the Egyptian financial and business community, to present a new language capable of dialogue outside the internal Egyptian community work, to be a good bridge that can bring about the linkage process in a way that achieves A lot about new files, a new economy, and new visions.

Elsharkawi noted that the association focuses on shedding light and studying the problems and mistakes of civil society, pointing to the importance of developing a good plan before starting any entity, noting that the association tried to identify all the challenges that impede cooperation with African countries and develop solutions to them and alternatives, such as the challenge of language and travel. And addressing the internal thought in export and import.

He praised the importance of implementing digital transformation, stressing that the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association uses digital transformation to reach the depths of African society, explaining that the association is working hard to achieve a financial and business community capable of achieving the vision of the Egyptian political leadership in the new republic, which is aware of the new ideology for him. Stressing that this ideology is the ideology of dealing and economic communication in modern concepts of international trade, and the global economy in a new way.

Elsharkawi pointed out that the association includes a committee for education and scientific research, a committee for economic laws and legislation, and a committee for agriculture and what it has achieved during the past months, in addition to the traditional committees of trade and industry, export, transport and logistics, and women, explaining that the association was able to combine 35% of good experiences. 45% of entrepreneurs and young businessmen, 25% of business women, and 8% of influential personalities, indicating that the association is assisting businessmen and the business community to serve the modern economic rate and African communication to be side by side in cooperation with the representation sector Commerce, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the African ambassadors present in Egypt.

He stressed that the association, during two years, carried out 46 online meetings that covered all aspects of the economy abroad, pointing out that there are 22 specialized quality committees in the association and a good executive board, explaining that each committee includes a chairman and a deputy, noting that the association welcomes all men who believe in its ideology. and businesswomen in the countries of the continent, stressing that there are more than 170 speakers from the countries of the continent who believe in the thought of the association.

He explained that Egypt still has national minds, thinkers, writers and businessmen, noting that the association is one of the first entities to hold meetings with all the government side related to the movement of trade and economy through one channel, which is the meeting room of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, to discuss the studied requests with decision-makers without Any impact on the state employee, pointing out that the association believes in the role of the state and has businessmen in origin who are able to carry the state file well.

He said that the association, with the African side, embodied the Nigerian Labor Day, and more than 24 Nigerian models were presented in the Nigerian business community, stressing that the association did the same work with 12 African countries in 2021, explaining that the association was established on April 27, which is the African Agriculture Day, Pointing out that the association was able to enter 8 Egyptian companies in some African countries, noting that the association has representatives in 15 African countries, in Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, Zambia, Mauritania, Nigeria, Congo, Kenya and others, stressing that this year the association’s plan seeks to enter And cooperation in most of the countries of the African continent, explaining that we believe in a strategic goal, which is the belief in the role of the state, and the Egyptian international cooperation in building dams on the continent and establishing Egyptian farms in Africa, explaining that the role of the private sector is the entry of simple Egyptian consumer products into the markets of African countries, pointing out that China conquered the world with small and medium products, stressing the importance of entering Africa as international trade, inter-investment at the level of the private sector, and joint cooperation with entrepreneurs.

He said that the association was able to hold more than 12 cooperation protocols with some African countries, referring to cooperation with the State of Mauritius in the field of planning and economic development, pointing to the signing of a cooperation protocol with the largest Nigerian businessmen association, indicating the readiness to hold a conference alternately between Cairo and Nigeria for businessmen Under the umbrella of the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry, explaining that the association seeks to make relations between Egypt and all countries of the African continent fruitful and influential, explaining that the association participated in the opening of the largest international conference for medical tourism in Tunisia.

He added that the association seeks to solve the transportation problem through a model that brings together joint cooperation and is about to come to light, pointing to the importance of solving the problems of the Egyptian business community, especially logical problems, stressing that we have no personal interests, pointing to the importance of establishing an Egyptian soft power based on the right of certainty. With the sincere thought of the Egyptian leadership to enter the depths of the African continent without return.

He noted that the Education Committee of the Association is working and opening the door for the transfer of Egyptian expertise to the countries of the African continent, pointing out that the Construction and Building Committee is ready to provide all facilities to anyone who wishes to cooperate in the field of construction, explaining that opportunities exist, noting that the next five years Egyptian companies will exist in depth. In the heart of the African continent, explaining the importance of buying raw materials from African brothers, and he said it is not reasonable that $ 569 billion in 2019-2020 is the size of the African continent’s import bill.

He said that it is unreasonable for the African continent, which owns all the materials and raw materials and all the ingredients of agriculture and food security, to import 50 billion dollars of food that was manufactured, and Egypt does not own 1% of them. $2.2 billion.

He revealed the features of the work plan for the coming years and the association’s readiness to launch three trade missions in three African countries under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Commercial Representation, and to a number of other important events and activities.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Yousrey Elsharkawi, chairman of the Egyptian African Businessmen Association, Dr. Essam Sharaf, Engineer Mahmoud Hegazy and Dr. Suhair Montaser, gave thanks, shields and a token of thanks to the African ambassadors to Egypt, and a number of public figures, led by Dr. Eng.
