EABA & Université senghor organize a program to connect industrial institutions with African students

As part of the communication and joint efforts between the Egyptian African Businessmen Association, chaired by Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, and its strategic partners, Yesterday, a ceremony was held at the headquarters of Sangor University in Alexandria to launch the “African Access” program as part of the activities of the “Trade Partnerships Enhancement Program for the Private Sector in Africa” initiative. In collaboration between the Egyptian African Businessmen Association and senghor University, with the aim of connecting businesses and institutions of the business community with African graduate students. to enhance their understanding of the markets and industry outlook in the region. The program and initiative aim to penetrate 25 African markets.

The program’s activities kicked off with a warm and welcoming reception from the university president. And the university team, including professors, administrators, and several heads of key entities, notably the African Development Bank, which always extends a helping hand in supporting African development among stakeholders. With the presence of a large team of members from the Egyptian African Businessmen Association, represented by a delegation of 20 companies, led by Dr.Yousrey El-Sharkawi,. EABA Chirman, And accompanying members from 20 companies across various sectors.

The event also witnessed strong representation from the private sector. These companies added significant value to the discussions and debates that took place during the meeting. Among these companies, diversity was represented in the industries and services these companies operate in. This enriched the discussions and added an extra dynamic to the event.

Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, stated, EABA Chirman, his delight at hosting this important program and valuable initiative, which reflects the entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit in enhancing economic relations between Egypt and the rest of the African continent. and the importance of this event in enhancing communication and collaboration between the public and private sectors within the framework of modern economic globalization.

Moreover, El-Sharkawi emphasized that this type of initiative contributes significantly to enhancing economic relations between Egypt and the rest of the African continent, and enhances opportunities for trade and investment exchange between companies and institutions in the region.

Dr. Yousrey added that this program comes as part of the association’s efforts to support entrepreneurship and encourage trade and investment in the African continent. And to enhance the role of African youth and harness their potential in developing industries, boosting local and African economies.

He concluded his statement by reaffirming the association’s commitment to continue supporting and enhancing economic and trade cooperation between Egypt and the rest of the African continent. And its commitment to providing all support and assistance to initiatives that promote sustainable development and prosperity in the African continent.

Dr. Thierry Verdel, Recteur of Université senghor, expressed his delight, saying, “Université senghor is pleased to host an important event that brings together the international African academic sector and the private sector.” with the aim of enhancing economic cooperation and development in the African continent.

Affirming that this event reflects our university’s commitment to supporting economic cooperation and knowledge exchange between Egypt and the rest of the African continent, and exerting all efforts to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the continent.
Expressing the importance of economic cooperation among African countries and enhancing economic ties to achieve sustainable development, as it is only through joint cooperation that we can succeed. We will work on expanding cooperation to reach more than 100 Egyptian companies and entities with over 100 trained and qualified university students from more than 25 countries, all equipped with administrative skills and expertise.

He also pointed out that the event opens the door for companies to explore cooperation opportunities in various fields such as environment, sustainable development, crisis and disaster management.

In conclusion, Verdier expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian African Businessmen Association and the participating companies, expressing his appreciation for their efforts in enhancing economic cooperation and development in the African continent.

There was an exchange of ideas and opinions on how to stimulate investment and promote entrepreneurship among students and youth in the continent.
