EABA receives a high-level investment delegation from Gambia

Within the framework of the intensive business plan with the African financial and business community, which was adopted by the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association, headed by Dr.Yousrey Elsharkawi in order to achieve permanent communication and work with all regions of the African continent

The Assembly – Committee on International Trade and Foreign Relations received this morning a high-level delegation from the State of Gambia, which includes the President of the Investment and Export Authority, the Gambian Deputy Minister of Health and the Gambia’s regional ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and the official in charge of the file of the Islamic Union Conference.
They were received by Mr. Hatem Raslan, Chairman of the Society’s International Trade and Foreign Relations Committee, Vice-Engineer Mohamed Ali Sabah, Eng. Ahmed Samir, member of the Society’s Board of Directors, Eng. Hussein Al-Ghazawi, Head of the Society’s Energy Committee, and Dr. Sherif Suleiman, Head of the Society’s Export Committee.

Hatem Raslan confirmed that the two sides talked and discussed many plans of cooperation between the private sector in the fields of port operation, energy and export of Egyptian products in the Gambian markets.

The meeting also discussed axes of cooperation between the association and its committees and the State of Gambia in all economic sectors, at the level of the private sector, and an explanation of the most important investment opportunities that can be established in cooperation between Egypt and Gambia.

Specifically, the Egyptian experiences in construction and building and in various fields, the most important of which are ports, the field of energy, the field of import and export, the pharmaceutical industry, and electricity and communications networks.

The Gambia is one of the most important African countries, which represents a major gateway to West Africa, and it was agreed on the importance of the association’s participation in the Islamic Union Summit in Gambia, which will be attended by both sides.
In addition to providing some data, figures and technical matters, followed by an expanded digital meeting between the two sides, in preparation for a field visit in preparation for a field visit.
