The Information Technology Academia Collaboration (ITAC) program at the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) invites Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies registered in the ITIDA Database to submit research proposals for funding of up to 5 million Egyptian Pounds (EGP), aimed at developing technology products and services based on scientific research with national and international impact.
Opportunity Details:
Available Funding: Up to 5 million Egyptian Pounds (EGP) per project, varying according to company size and project budget.
Project Scope: Development of ICT products or services based on scientific research, utilizing deep technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and integrated circuits, with applicability to any economic sector.
Priority Sectors: Funding priority is given to projects targeting the health, agriculture, and water sectors.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Primary Applicant: Must be an ICT company registered in the ITIDA Database.
  • Consortiums: Partnerships between an ICT company and an independent non-profit entity operating in the health, agriculture, or water sectors receive elevated funding priority, particularly if the non-profit entity provides relevant data for the project.
  • Company Contribution: Mandatory, as the company must participate in covering a portion of the project costs.
Project Duration: 12 to 18 months, divided into 3 to 5 major milestones.
Application Period: September 1, 2026 – October 29, 2026
