The First Arab Conference on Agricultural Export Development in Light of the Benefits Granted within the Greater Arab Free Trade Area

Building upon ongoing efforts and activities and the strong relationships between the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association (EABA) and its strategic partners, the association has received an invitation from the League of Arab States and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development to attend the First Arab Conference on Agricultural Export Development in Light of the Benefits Granted within the Greater Arab Free Trade Area. This initiative is part of the activities under the project “Supporting the Arab Economic Integration System” within the second phase of the Aid for Trade Initiative (AfTIAS 0.2), funded by the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), aiming to enhance agricultural trade in the Arab region.

Objectives of the Conference:

  1. Enhancing Cooperation and Knowledge Exchange: The conference aims to support cooperation and knowledge exchange among Arab countries to increase agricultural exports and development potential in this sector.
  2. Increasing Agricultural Trade Activity: The conference seeks to expand agricultural trade among Arab countries, contributing to the growth of agricultural trade within the region.
  3. Creating an Interactive Environment for Idea Exchange: The conference will include sessions for exchanging ideas and successful experiences, helping to improve the agricultural business environment.
  4. Developing Relationship Networks: The conference aims to strengthen ties between ministries of trade and agriculture in Arab countries, as well as the private sector, improving coordination and cooperation among these entities.
  5. Promoting and Marketing Agricultural Products: The conference will support efforts to promote and market Arab agricultural products, enhancing opportunities to benefit from the advantages available within the Greater Arab Free Trade Area.
