EABA organizes a major event to enhance economic cooperation with Burkina Faso on the sidelines of the Intra-African Trade Fair IATF

“Egypt and Burkina Faso are preparing to organize the “Egyptian-Burkini Business and Culture Day” to enhance bilateral cooperation

Yesterday, Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, Chairman of the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association, received Ms. Idisa Gissou, Acting Ambassador to Egypt, Commercial Attaché and Military Attaché of the Embassy of Burkina Faso. During this meeting, coordination was made to receive a large delegation that included the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism, the Ministry of Industrial Development, Trade, Crafts, Small and Medium Enterprises, and merchants, manufacturers, importers and exporters from Burkina Faso.

This meeting and coordination comes within the framework of important preparations for organizing the “Egyptian Burkini Business and Culture Day,” which will be held on November 12, 2023 at the Triumph Settlement Hotel in Cairo. This initiative reflects joint efforts between the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association and the Embassy of the Republic of Burkina Faso, with the aim of enhancing economic cooperation and deepening bilateral relations between Egypt and Burkina Faso.

This event comes within the framework of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), which is considered a vital platform for enhancing trade exchange and investment between African countries.

Burkina Faso is a country with a rich history, diverse cultural heritage, and rich in resources in many fields such as agriculture, manufacturing, meat imports and mining. Accordingly, this event provides distinguished opportunities for businessmen and investors in both countries to build strategic partnerships and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

Egypt’s relations with Burkina Faso over the years have witnessed cooperation in a variety of fields, including economy, culture and education, and these relations aim to enhance trade exchange and investment and develop economic cooperation between the two countries.
The two countries may participate in a range of regional and continental initiatives, such as projects of the African Development Bank and the COMESA Union (Commonwealth African Market and Economic Area), which promote economic cooperation and development in Africa.

It is important that relations between Egypt and Burkina Faso continue to be developed through exchanging experiences and expanding cooperation in a variety of sectors. These relations reflect the commitment of the two countries to promoting peace and development in Africa and enhancing regional and continental cooperation.
