Yesterday, the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association headed by Dr. Yousrey El-Sharkawi, in the presence of the president of the association and a delegation of 25 members of the association, participated in the activities of a conference and an inauguration ceremony entitled “The Road to the Intra-African Free Trade Exhibition, which will be held in the Egyptian capital Cairo next November in its third edition, which It is organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry in cooperation with the African Export-Import Bank (Afrixambank).

For his part, Dr. Yousrey El-Sharqawi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the members of the association for their interest in participating in these activities, which is a great door to building bridges of relationships, acquaintances and good networking that establishes the future of distinguished and effective commercial relations, and that this took the objectives of the participants in such meetings and events.

 

Al-Sharqawi told the media present in the coverage of the ceremony that was held yesterday in a hotel in Cairo, that we are hopeful that the third edition will come out, achieving the hopes and desired goals of such major international exhibitions, especially that the edition will be launched and held in very difficult and harsh international economic conditions, but hope is always present and held within the continent. And I have to activate and support the expansion of intra-African trade partnerships, which will have a very positive impact, of course, on all primary sectors before trade, namely industry and agriculture.

 

El-Sharqawi indicated that African banks, including the African Export-Import Bank, operate in an advanced and sustainable manner and have provided many platforms, tools and many products, such as the “Mansa” platform, as well as the (PaPsi) system as one of the payment and payment systems through African local currencies, but these systems, platforms, programs and tools will take time. To interact with it and respond to it internal systems within the governments and central banks in the countries of the continent, as well as the response and training of the African private sector on the possibility of intensifying positive interaction with these tools offered

Al-Sharkawy appreciated the efforts of the Egyptian Commercial Representation Authority, headed by the Minister Plenipotentiary in Al-Wathiq Billah neighborhood, and the Minister Plenipotentiary, Ali Muhammad Pasha, Director of the Africa Department in the agency, for their recent coordination efforts in the Egyptian commercial affairs and support for the level of Egyptian exports internationally in general and Africa in particular. between the Egyptian private sector and the relevant government agencies and agencies regarding intra-African trade, because we are still facing as a private sector huge challenges in African work, including customs and the customs system, as well as banks and transfers, as well as transportation by all its means, high prices and costs

El-Sharqawi stressed the need to move forward with research, consultation and serious discussion among all stakeholders, whether governmental or private in the African society, on the need to support the activation of the principle of equal deals between the countries of the continent. between the countries of the continent, and specifically between the African private sector with government sponsorships.
