The African Egyptian Businessmen’s Association is preparing to hold a webinar entitled “Cameroon Business Day 2022”, on Tuesday, September 27, with the aim of building bridges of cooperation between Egypt and its brothers in the African continent, and enhancing economic coordination and areas of joint projects, in order to achieve the economic goals of the countries of the continent. .

Dr. Yousrey Elsharkawi stressed that the association said that Cameroon enjoys many competitive advantages and resources that can be benefited from, explaining that the time has come to create great industrial and economic opportunities between the two countries. Pointing out that the association has focused since its inception on the need to cooperate with the countries of the continent, and to exploit the available resources; To find mechanisms to achieve partnership and mutual benefit between the countries of the continent.

The webinar comes in cooperation with the office of the Association in the State of Cameroon, represented by Mr. Jean Brice Mane Zhang, CEO of ODEA, Mr. Sledida, and Mr. Saki Zaldel, General Manager and Co-founder of Asmaa.

Elsharkawi added that the webinar aims to empower small and medium-sized companies with products and services ready for export, by presenting the experiences and success stories of entrepreneurs in Cameroon, enhancing interconnection, establishing profitable relationships, and presenting marketing services that Cameroonian businessmen can better provide to the Egyptian Businessmen Association. He pointed out that the webinar aims to identify and attract potential foreign investors between Cameroon and Egypt to implement profitable projects for all partners, and will include a presentation of the competitive advantages that helped companies in Cameroon export their products, stressing that the meeting will answer the question of how to start export business to and from Cameroon and coordinate entry It is scheduled to discuss the challenges facing the promotion of trade and partnerships in joint ventures between Cameroon, Egypt or other African countries and possible solutions to those challenges.

Elsharkawi added that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Cameroon amounted to about $43 million in 2020, with a growth rate of 6% compared to 2019, stressing that there are great opportunities for Egyptian companies to enter the Cameroonian markets and increase the rates of trade exchange, stressing the keenness of the members of the association to enhance trade cooperation. At the conclusion of his speech, he expressed the association’s aspiration that this meeting would contribute to opening new horizons for cooperation with the Cameroonian side in all fields, foremost of which is strengthening joint cooperation in the field of import and export and commercial activity as a whole.
