The Egyptian-African Businessmen Association participated in the celebration of the golden jubilee of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology – New Alamein.
Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, chairman of the academy, deans of faculties, professors, and faculty members from the faculties of medicine, dentistry, administration, transportation, logistics, artificial intelligence, pharmacy and graduate studies were received by Dr. Yousrey ElSharkawi – chairman of the association and the delegation accompanying him and the guests.
During the celebration, an inspection tour was conducted for the university’s building in the new El Alamiein, which is being built on an area of 65 acres and is designed to accommodate 10,000 students from all levels of education from pre-primary, preparatory, secondary, university and postgraduate education with all the needs of teaching headquarters, laboratories, housing and subsistence places, and a large hospital to serve students and the community El Alamein, as well as playgrounds, entertainment areas and parking spaces on the same area in the underground floors,, The Academy project, El Alamein Branch, its investments are estimated at 9 billion pounds. The first phase has been completed with investments amounting to 3 billion pounds, and work and teaching have already begun in the branch’s faculties, and the stages are being completed.
The inspection tour of the faculties and an exhibition of students’ activities, products and work was completed, which showed the educational qualitative shift that the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is making in the middle of Egypt, using competencies and diverse international experiences and partnerships with Uchlin, Harvard, Stanford, Beijing and many major educational institutions around the world.
During the meeting, Dr. Yousrey Elsharkawi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar for this generous invitation, congratulating His Excellency on the 50th anniversary of the founding and establishment of the university. Elsharkawi affirmed his intention as an association and through the Education, Training and Scientific Research Committee in the Assembly to continue the work and effort in the marketing process of the Academy within the depth The African continent, we are confident of the Academy’s ability to provide distinguished educational content, especially since there is a precedent in maritime transport and a great balance among Africans who took their education in this field. Elsharkawi asked the head of the Academy, who responded immediately, that the association organize a trip that brings together all the African ambassadors and some individuals from missions, communities and prominent African personalities to work on the African Day (between education and development from the perspective of the private sector), and so that the image is transmitted on the ground to all the African brothers optimally.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Yousrey Elsharkawi expressed his great gratitude for the efforts exerted, stressing in his speech to Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar that the presence of such a large number of students in the heart of the new Alamein desert and studying these new sciences in this spirit and with full and advanced residency is indeed the real and sustainable reconstruction in the new republic.
